What Is Exosome Regenerative Skin Therapy?
Exosome therapy is a regenerative skin treatment that delivers bioactive signaling molecules directly into the dermis to support cellular repair and collagen production. At Arvé, we use EXO|E®, a plant-derived exosome complex containing 34 billion total exosomes, delivering 20 billion per syringe.
EXO|E® is powered by the CF-Alpha One consortia, a sophisticated blend of thousands of growth factors, peptides, cytokines, interleukins, and plant microRNA (PDENs) derived from three plant sources: Ustilago Cynodontis Ferment, Withania Somnifera, and Piper Nigrum. It contains no synthetic growth factors and no hyaluronic acid – only biocompatible, plant-derived signaling factors.
EXO|E® drives production of Type I and Type III collagen, the structural proteins most responsible for skin firmness, elasticity, and a youthful appearance. It also targets inflammation at the cellular level, making it effective for patients dealing with chronic skin stress, post-procedure recovery, and age-related tissue decline.
EXO|E® is room temperature stable and requires no lyophilization, ensuring consistent potency with every treatment.
How It’s Delivered : The Ultra+ System
At Arvé, EXO|E® is delivered in-office using the Ultra+ system, a multi-modal device that combines low-level ultrasound, radiofrequency, and electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) to drive exosomes directly into the dermis where they can act on the skin at a cellular level.
This is a meaningful clinical distinction. Topical application of exosomes alone cannot reliably achieve dermal penetration. The Ultra+ system creates the conditions for true transdermal delivery, delivering the regenerative ingredients to the depth where collagen-producing fibroblasts live. The treatment is completely painless, requires no numbing, and involves no needles.
What Areas Can Be Treated?
Exosome therapy with EXO|E® and the Ultra+ system can be used wherever skin quality, regeneration, and collagen support are the goal:
- Face: tone, texture, hydration, fine lines, and overall skin quality
- Neck: elasticity, crepey skin, and early laxity
- Face and neck combined: balanced full-area rejuvenation
- Décolleté: texture and sun damage improvement
- Scalp: hair follicle support (see our DE|RIVE™ Hair Restoration page)
What to Expect
Consultation
Your provider will evaluate your skin and confirm that exosome therapy is appropriate for your goals. EXO|E® is often used as a standalone treatment or to enhance and accelerate results following microneedling, RF microneedling, or laser treatments.
The Procedure
The EXO|E® exosome complex is applied to the skin and delivered into the dermis using the Ultra+ device. The treatment is gentle, non-invasive, and comfortable throughout. Most sessions take approximately 30-45 minutes depending on the area treated. There is no significant downtime.
How Many Treatments Are Needed?
Exosome therapy can be performed as a standalone treatment or as part of a series. Many patients benefit from an initial series of sessions to build results, followed by periodic maintenance. EXO|E® works particularly well as an add-on to RF microneedling with the Trilift, enhancing the regenerative stimulus already created by the treatment and accelerating collagen remodeling. Your provider will recommend a plan based on your skin condition and long-term goals.
Why EXO|E® Over PRP for Skin?
Both PRP and exosome therapy are regenerative, but they work differently:
- Consistency: PRP relies on your own platelets and varies in concentration from patient to patient. EXO|E® delivers a standardized dose of 20 billion exosomes per treatment every time
- Collagen Type: PRP primarily stimulates Type II collagen. EXO|E® drives Type I and Type III collagen, the structural proteins most associated with skin firmness and smoothness
- Inflammation: EXO|E® targets inflammation at the cellular level, a root contributor to skin aging that PRP does not reliably address
- Comfort: the treatment is entirely painless with no blood draw and no injections.
Aftercare
After treatment, your skin may feel refreshed and hydrated with little to no downtime. To maintain results:- Avoid Heat and Sun: avoid excessive heat and direct sun exposure immediately after treatment
- Sun Protection: apply SPF daily to protect and support your skin
- Maintain Your Routine: follow a consistent skincare routine to maintain hydration and results
- Follow Provider Instructions: adhere to any personalized post-care guidance provided at your appointment
